Paul Leighton CA, BACHELOR OF BUSINESS STUDIES Director pleighton@hwi.co.nz I entered the world of accountancy at the age of 30 after eight years of being involved in a variety of small businesses. This experience has helped me to understand the dynamics of business in New Zealand. Working as an accountant has provided many rewarding moments. I particularly enjoy working with clients and helping them grow and achieve business success. Which brings me to the reason why I joined HWI and my vision, which is to provide the most appropriate service to our clients. HWI has a wonderful team, full of individuals with One of the areas I look after is the provisioning of Audit and Assurance Services; our focus tends more to be with Small/Medium Enterprises (SMEs) which require these services. Another area of particular interest to me is the Charity Sector or Public Benefit Entities. This is a fast changing and dynamic area of growth in the New Zealand economy. Outside the office most of my time is spent with my wife Elizabeth and our three children, so life is very busy on the weekends ferrying the children from one location to another. I enjoy both watching and playing soccer, the occasional spot of fishing and of course drinking a fine wine and reading a good book |
